You are warmly invited to join us for the AAPI Career Fair, a meaningful and inspiring event celebrating AAPI Heritage Month, identity, opportunity, and future possibilities.
Hosted by MoveNC Foundation, AANHPI Unity Collective, and NCNC, this event brings together students, families, AAPI professionals, educators, and community leaders for a morning of learning, connection, and inspiration.
It is designed to support high school and college students as they begin exploring future academic and career pathways. Students will have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of fields, connect with accomplished professionals, and gain insight into how their interests, strengths, and talents can shape their future.
In today’s social climate, many Asian American youth may experience pressure, uncertainty, or a lack of belonging. This event highlights inspiring Asian American leaders across many fields who are making meaningful contributions to their communities and the country. Through these connections, students can broaden their perspectives, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of identity and pride.
The AAPI Career Fair will begin with a 30-minute panel discussion featuring NC State University (NCSU) Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Helen Chen, along with professors from Duke University, UNC, and NCSU. Panelists will share valuable guidance on college applications, career planning, and preparing for future opportunities.
Following the panel, students will have the opportunity to engage with more than 20 AAPI professional tables, where they can ask questions, hear personal career journeys, and explore fields aligned with their interests. Students may also learn about opportunities related to volunteering, mentorship, summer programs, and future internships. The event will also include a raffle and on-site activities.
